The Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) is a common assessment tool throughout the healthcare professions measuring how well medical students perform in a wide range of practitioner-patient interactions. The UIC College of Dentistry uses EchoVideo’s Universal Capture capabilities to record each student’s performance, allowing them to identify what they did well and where they could improve. Furthermore, exam administrators watch the recordings for the evidence they need of each student’s performance.
By recording all students, the UIC College of Dentistry is providing the same information to every learner and empowering them with an equal chance to succeed.

Recording a student’s performance on the OSCE creates a permanent record of what they did, allowing students and instructors alike to watch it until they have all of the evidence they need to improve.
