Hopefully all of you participating in the March Madness hoopla still have your brackets intact! I’m excited to say that, as of today, I’m in first place in our NCAA neighborhood bracket pool. Don’t even ask how that happened – I guess we’ll see how they hold up after this weekend’s Sweet Sixteen action.

Speaking of the Sweet Sixteen, we want to wish all of the Echo360 client institutions still in the NCAA Championship Tournament the very best of luck as they continue on their journey to the Elite Eight:

  • Kentucky
  • Notre Dame
  • University of Kansas
  • Michigan State University
  • UCLA

In addition to the NCAA action, there are many other exciting things happening in higher ed this week. Here are just a few of the topics that grabbed my attention:

  • Is your institution trying to implement the flipped classroom? Some great tips on how to support your instructors in the process.
  • A Dean’s argument for more BYOD on campus.
  • What are the primary barriers to faculty adoption of technology in the classroom? .

While we’re on the topic of engaging digital students, many instructors have finally found a solution for defeating device distraction in their classrooms, including Dr. Colin Montpetit of the University of Ottawa.
