SOC 2 Certified

Echo360 is SOC 2 Type II compliant with key Trust Service Principles established by the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) for managing customer data:

  1. Security: Protecting information from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access
  2. Availability: Ensuring employees and clients can rely on our systems to do their work
  3. Confidentiality: Protecting confidential information by limiting its access, storage, and use

Our SOC 2 report is available to current and future customers by request and upon signature to our NDA.

Our LTI 1.3 certified platform offers the most secure, scalable and reliable platform in the industry, with an AWS data center and network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations with various security measures against intrusion in place.  Through third party security reviews conducted annually,  Echo360 consistently achieves a 99.999% benchmark for global platform availability, and our platform intelligently monitors its own performance and dynamically allocates cloud resources in response to fluctuations in usage and processing power demands.  


Central to our promise of creating equitable learning experiences, we strive to develop accessible technology solutions for use by all learners.  Our products are designed and developed to comply with the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, including Section 508 standards in the United States. We engage a third-party firm for regular audits of our software, which are documented in a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).

As part of a committed community that makes open standards the first and primary choice for education technology integrations, we advocate for standards-based integrations. We believe that achieving and promoting official product certification to open standards enables a better edtech ecosystem and community and believe in fair and open business practices for suppliers. Our Privacy Policy  is compliant with current laws in the United States as well as with GDPR expectation in the EU and UK.  All of our  products are compliant with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Protection Act (COPPA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).  As changes to these laws are made — or new laws are passed —  we work diligently to maintain compliance, protecting your privacy and securing your data.

We are committed to inspiring and extending our formula of learning equity, engagement, and evidence through  through two signature grant programs.  EchoInnovation grants award up to $5,000 in software to winning organizations or individuals with new ideas or approaches utilizing Echo360 solutions.  EchoImpact grants award up to $2,000 in cash to support research and measurement efforts defining the impact of Ech360 learning applications.
