Chris Elarde serves as the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology and Deputy CIO at Pace University. In this role, he oversees $15mm of operating and capital budgets, contract negotiations, project management, communications, and Document Services for Pace’s Information Technology Services Division. Additionally, he leads the development of policy and strategic and tactical plans, and supervises all contract and major acquisitions of hardware, software, and services.

In January 2009, Mr. Vince Kellen was named the Chief Information Officer for the University of Kentucky, one of the top public research institutions and academic medical centers in the U.S. He and his senior managers lead a staff of 250 in supporting 27,000 students, 18 colleges, and 13,000 employees in IT strategic planning, enterprise software, high performance computing, computing labs, classroom technology, learning management systems, business intelligence, student information systems, data center operations, network infrastructure, and information technology support. In the past year and with active collaboration of the University of Kentucky community, Mr. Kellen led the development of the UK IT Strategic Plan, which will contribute to University of Kentucky’s Top 20 goal. Mr. Kellen is a Senior Consultant with the highly-regarded IT industry think-tank, Cutter Consortium, participating in Cutter’s Business-IT Strategies and Business Intelligence practices.

Rich Zera currently serves as CIO at UMass Lowell, a comprehensive Doctoral-Intensive University with a national reputation in science, engineering and technology with over 14,000 students. The University is proud of its 100% Technology-Enhanced Classrooms, 60 full Lecture Capture classrooms, and numerous other leading technology initiatives. Prior to UMass Lowell, Rich served as Vice President/CIO at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for 11 years, and was Director of Computer Services at Bowling Green State University for 22 years. He is a recipient of the prestigious CIO-100 Award, is the author of two books, and has been a speaker for numerous local, regional, and national groups and conferences.
